Services Detail
For each wooden furniture project, we will work with you closely to understand your vision. We can come to your home and/or business to view the furniture.
Upon inspection and assessment, we will provide you with a detailed estimate of the associated costs. We engage in a thorough process which involves:
1. Inspection & Assessment
→We evaluate the structural integrity of the wood furniture and check for cracks, loose joints, and signs of infestation.
→We assess the wood type and condition and determine the best approach for refinishing.
2. Cleaning & Preparation
→We thoroughly clean the furniture on site in Cambridge (Hespeler) where all dust, dirt, and grime are removed.
→We strip old finishes by removing paint, varnish, or stain.
→We sand which helps with smoothing surfaces, remove imperfections, and prepare the furniture for new finishes.
3. Repair & Restoration
→We apply wood filler to fill out cracks and holes.
→We also glue and clamp to reinforcing loose joints.
→We do structural repairs, where any significant damage is addressed.
4. Refinishing
→We apply new coats of paint, using techniques like distressing or two-tone finishes.
→We stain to enhancing the natural wood grain with stains of various colors and shades.
→We also wax/seal furniture to protect the finished piece with a clear coat or wax.
5. Creative Modifications
→We add new hardware, if necessary, by replacing old knobs, pulls, and hinges.
→We custom make each furniture’s design and finish so that it is unique and one of a kind.
→We alter the design by adding new elements like stencils, painting finishes, shelves, drawers, or decorative accents.
→We can also upcycle loved furniture into new forms by strengthening and transforming furniture into different items (e.g., a dresser into a TV stand).
