About Us!

Hi, I’m Kaushi (she/her), the proprietor of Upcycled Wood.  The phonetic spelling of my name is (Cow-shi).

 

I’ve always had a knack for revamping and reviving things. Amongst all, furniture reviving gives me the most pleasure.  After working in the corporate world for over two decades, I have turned to giving old wooden furniture new life.

 

About Kaushi

In my previous full-time career, I was an Information Architect with over 25 years of experience in Enterprise Information/ Content Management Systems (ECMS). With a PhD, I led the design, development, and implementation of information systems for corporate and non-profit sectors. 

 

Now, I’m pursuing my passion for upcycling wooden furniture full-time. Upcycled Wood is a registered Ontario business, officially started in November 2024.

 

I’m excited to work with you to transform your much-loved wooden furniture into exquisite, one-of-a-kind, and eco-friendly pieces.

 

What We Do

→Reviving and revamping old unwanted furniture.

 

→Work with you to give your much-loved wooden furniture a sustainable edge by rescuing discarded furniture and transforming it into beautiful pieces.

 

→Furniture includes chairs, bookshelves, chests, dressers, tallboys, vanities, tables, armoires, and much more. My passion for craftsmanship shines through in every detail.

 

 

We Source Materials Locally

→Primarily source recyclable material within Waterloo region.

We Reduce Waste

→Our aim is to upcycle previously used material to reduce waste.

We are Responsible

→We primarily use Canadian made, non-toxic, green and environmentally friendly products.
